A Long-Courted Cybersecurity Company in its Second Delisting

The Software and Tech sector has seen a significant decline this year because of the effect of rising interest on discounting future cash flows. Additionally, massive job cuts have been announced across the industry, which was the first time ever for having negative headcount growth for some of the big tech names. Given this background, it’s especially interesting to see that there is still an opportunity to make good deals in the software space. In this article, we’re looking at the Acquisition of McAfee, which has long been courted by several private equity firms. Earlier this year they have finally been sold to a consortium led by Advent and Permira.
